A Reunification Story

Meet Baby "N". She was discovered in a pit latrine shortly after her birth by someone who heard her crying. In order to free her, the latrine had to be broken. Her skin was burnt by the acidity in the toilet but doctors say she survived because her ambilical cord was still attached. As a result, Baby "N" came to us small and weak. She was nursed back to health and became one of the babies in our home with the biggest and brightest smile! As we do with all our cases, we first looked for Baby "N"'s biological family. Baby "N"'s grandmother was so sad to hear what had happened, and she agreed to raise her granddaughter. The family has been reunited and are thriving with Baby "N" by their side!
